Events one after another....
Firstly, I start off with the parent forum for Ngee Ann Poly at 24/11/o7. It was... kind of bad due to tension between mum and dad. Thankfully, it was diffused soon enough. My family, including, my brother, went for that seminar. When we arrived, the first problem was to locate the parking lot avaliable. Then, we were ushered in to the air-conditioned room and was told to confirm that we had registered. Mum forgotton to bring the confirmation slip... Oh dear.
Besides that, we were allowed in as mum produced proof that she had registered for this activity. We were also given goodie bags inclusive of a notebook(pink and blue- I got pink while my family mambers got blue), and sweets.
It was long and boring to listen to speeches. A Prof Tan actually lightened the mood with several jokes. The best one is about teenagers. It was really engeging to say the least. My mum was pretty annoyed about it because the people sitting at the back had no respect for the speaker or the listeners at all- They were talking and one of them even clapped at the wrong time before asking, "Ehh? Why nobody clap one?" The worse part is that they could be the lecturers of the poly. What the hell? Whatever happened to good role models, huh teachers?
Anyway, my dad, not the patient type, left afterwards. My mum lost this round. So we went to visit our maternal grandparents and a sick uncle- due to hosting the above event in about three days, a hectic timetable and getting caught in the rain before entering the air-conditioned room. We took them out for 'dim sum' lunch. All through it I was constantly harassed by my'acting gentle' father which made me kept crying out, "Mummy! I want to change my seat!"
Afterwards, I went to do my hair. Initialy, I wanted to highlight but, after considering the fact that I still had to go back to school to get my results, I decided againest it. Instead, I chose a new look- I decided to perm my hair. At the end of the day, It costs $95 actually, $70 minus the fact that I sort of strighten my fringe, not to mention a 20% discount.. Oh yea! My mum also decided to perm as well..
When my brother saw the curls, he kept playing with it..(I am not a doll, you know?) My dad had an unreadable expression... although later he admits that my face is more suited to permed hair then my mother. My grandma remarked it is because I have a sharp face so this hairstyle will make me more matured.. To be honest, I look alot like a doll..
