Do we look like Secondary School classmates?

Sushan's is so obviously cut and paste one sia. yo! Mr Yeo, WHy so sad de? Meet our DT(Distribution and Transport) Lecturer.

What our intention was is to spite our beloved Jasmine who 'pon(skipped' this lesson. And for Sushan, well, she came in just after we finished the photo taking and she had to take a solo shot to put inside.

People, all that drama on the 18th May.

Yesterday, on May 19th, I met up with my dad after school as the intention for him was 2 reasons. Firstly was that he nagged that my hand phone bill was too high and next, that he thought of renewing the subscription to M1 and maybe change phone for me.

However... Who would have thought...

That the reception counter's staff of the parkway branch was demanding payment for the 'outstanding' bill. And this rilled up my dad who after asking him to check if he's a bad customer stormed off while I just meekly took his IC back.

Dad called the customer service hot line to complain. After hanging up, he was fuming and went, "This is already the second time. I really hate M1."

Went to eat lunch at Macdonald's and got 2 pink (ughh) cups. And he was telling me about how bad M1 was all this time. I was thinking, "How can such a reputable company like M1 be like a third rate company? This is insane."

After listening to both incidents, dad was like, "What would you have done?". I shrugged and went, "Me? Already I think I can picture myself being hauled to the police station because of a fight."

Listen to my dad's 'superb' experience:

1st incident:
Apparently, his ship-people managed to rack the phone bill of one of his line to a whooping $2000. M1 called up to ascertain if it was the subscriber because they were so 'kiasu'(in case it was stolen). When dad said he will pay, they demanded payment upfront even though the deadline wasn't even then.

Worse, all his 5 phone lines got cancelled although it was only one of the lines that chalked up that amount. When I heard that I was like, "What the f***?"

Dad later complained to the department and paid up so the issue was somewhat settled.

2nd (latest incident):
Well, another case of outstanding payment left my dad fuming.

The complaint department later called back after checking with my dad's account. All I heard was this my dad's reply.

When he hung up, he turned to me and went, "You know what the girl said to me? She said, 'Well, so you need our management's approval for your renews subscription?"
Me: Eh? What has the management got to do with this? Company policy shit?
Dad: Yea la. Oh my god. I hate M1.

Seriously, what are we learning in school anyway? It seems that the lessons we learnt are never applied in the working world anyway.

What I learnt from customer service is: Remember that customers want to hear what you can and are able to do for them.

But seriously, how is it even applied in real life? All the department does is to literally throw the company's policy at the customers face. Hello! Just say so if you don't want our business. We can take our business somewhere else. Don't have to so god damn irritating.

Like I say, at this rate, there's no point studying if everything can be resolved via company's policy. I can also take over their job after memorising the policy, right? Now this is really lousy service. What's the point of having such support when they make the company lose potential customers?

This is so....

Anyway, today I finally have a rest day. Yep. I have no school today.
