Grduated hence on 26th May 2011

As the title has suggested, finally, after 3 long years in Ngee Ann Polytechnic, I graduate as an average student!

Let's get one thing straight: I do not like the long graduation gown which keeps making me think we are in Hogwarts which is all the more confirmed when we all don that ending up as a sea of navy blue with orangey-yellow highlighting our arms and head.

Although the whole thing was to begin at 3pm, I arrived there at 1 plus to meet Hui Ping and Larry and much later on, I went with Marwa and Lee E to change Marwa's graduation attire because the size is too huge making her look , in her own words, like a bamboo stick with bat wings. 

I keep thinking the gown reminds me of Severus Snape's attire from the Harry Potter Franchise.

Plus, in the freaking hot sun and we were all donning long sleeved attire, this is mega bad since we are all sweating like crazy.

Soon enough, Marwa and I went to chat as Lee E went to find her family. And as usual we had girl talk and went in to LT68A to register for a card and then wait out there to see the others stroll in and horror of horrors: we had no reception for the handphone. It has to be a plot to make us cut off from each other!! Nah!

I feel pretty nonchalant so on with the pictures.. and the story later la.

More like a party that I found while looking for my friends! Lols... pulled in again.

All photos 'stolen' from great camera people like Sushan and Daniel on Facebook. I took too few photos and also, have no motivation nor the cable too upload it onto the computer yet. Why do I always look so wierd in all pictured again?

It's like we had a briefing and then headed out to the hall for the ceremony. Finally get to hear the National Anthem being played and kinda lip synced with the singing lol. And then a long winded and boring speech before the ceremony begins and we all queue in line.

Finally, it's our turn and with Everlyn leading the way, we gave our card to be scanned and then proceed to the area.

To be honest everything went by rather quickly. The next thing I know, I had handed in the card and was ready to receive the empty scroll box (I joked that we could use it to hit the director's head to test if it is empty).

Soon, I was striding to the director and all he said was: Well Done, Vivian. Congratulations. Look at the Camera! LOLS! Afterwards I stride off the red carpet pretty quickly too. Once outside, we went to collect the real cert and was given the NP graduation Teddy bear in a plastic bag and a order form for the photos taken.

Finally, went back to the sitting area and waited for the rest of  graduates and prize winners. Finally, a conclusive speech from one of the outstanding students and we are done!

My first task was to locate my parents. That was... rather easy save the fact that it was super crowded and messy with people getting the food as well as taking photo shots. We spotted Uncle Dickson in the crowd and took a photo with him (will upload when I can upload it).

I picked at some of the meat and then went off to locate friends to take pictures with. Hence the few photos. More photos I took with the camera but cannot upload currently... so.. yea. I met up with Zee Min as well.

Finally, my parents and I were reunited and we went to 'laminate' the certificate as well as ordering of the photos since they were seated so far away to get any good shots lol.

Went over to maternal grandmother's place to have steamboat dinner!! But not before I went to get passport sized photos taken for application forms to university. Yea. Sorry for being super kan-chong lol. The photos turn out making me wonder if I had put on weight or just the distance of photo taking...

 In the car, got lectured about finding the process to boring and worthless which is what!

Uncle Dickson was back home and eating and to our surprise, my 小姨婆 and 小姨公 are also present there. It seems like they are there to celebrate my graduation? Lols...

This Uncle Dickson ah, you know what? The nerve of this guy sia. He went, "Why I never see you lei. I only see Zhang Meng they all." Hello! I am like in front of Zhang Meng Lol. Wha Lao. Totally missed me by being too engrossed chatting with another fellow lecturer, Miss Selena... Dots. Fat chance of him taking any pictures lols. 

And that's about sum it up... Best Lines today:

Lecturer: Congrtulations.

Me: Thanks.

Lecturer: So where you heading now?

Me: I decided to continue Logistics.

Lecturer: (Seems Happy?) Really? You are the first one to say that. Good.

Me: Well, everybody's going into business..

Lecturer: Yea. Well, it's all about passion... not bad.
