Chinese new Year?
Like I said(more like complained) to my parents, I just wasn't intersted in the whole Chinese New Year stuff anymore. Even Hongbaos(red packet) don't really tempt me as much. There were too many incidents to contend with.
Firstly, we got up at 8.30 on New Years' first day, namely Feb 7. The worst part is forgetting which block my relatives live in. We dialled up many relatives to ask where my 'gu-gong' live. And many of them were still asleep with phones switched off. Those that answered also had no clue. Mum was like, "Now everybody knows we coming to visit 'gu-gong"
When we reached the place, it was already 2 hours plus... Diaos.
Then I went over to my marternal Grandmother's house. That's where we say that it is 'suay'. Grandma fell ill really badly that she had to go to the hospital. Ok, so we were all hectic that we did not bring stuff back. Great!
The second day wasn't so great either. I was just plain bored out of my skull that I borrowed my little cousin's storybook bible. At least I was entertained.
We went to visit my grandma and I went for ice-cream just hollering and singing, 'Qingtolongtoqiang(then what I want to say). The best part is when Mum chided, "Vivian, don't be like a child!" and added, "Want buy some sweets?" I was laughing my butt off. Here she was telling me to grow up and next, she was pacifing me with sweets lols!
And then that's about it!
Why does the year just keep getting worse?
