Come to think of it...
Throughout my academic life, I finally realised one thing- I seem to have an affinity with the number 4 and 3. The number 4 being more dominant in my books.
In Primary school,I remember my class range as 1D, 2D, 3C, 4A, 5A and 6A. Don't think 'A' to be the top class. In fact, it happens to be the 4th class of the EM2 stream. The letter 'D' is the 4th letter of the alphabet and naturally, is the 4th class. Same goes for the 3rd letter, 'C'.
I have to admit that I was never a really bright nor dilligent child which may not be so surprising hat I end up in such classes. Strangely enough, with each passing year in primary school, I seem to grow smarter as shown in my report card from class position of 36/40 to 8/40 by primary 6.
Then, needless to say, in Secondary school, I was sorted into 1E4, 2E3, 3/1 and 4/1.As usual the numbers 4 and 3 just pop up again. Coralites will know that 3/1 and 4/1 is actually the 4th class in the express stream. Hahas...
Why bother to tempt fate? I am used to it already because in Ngee Ann Polytechinc, I got into Logistics Management but was placed in 1L04 for 3 years. Check this out, Logistics has 4 classes which means that I have a probability(Forgive me but then, I have to remember this for Applied Statistics) of getting in at the 3 other classes is 3/4. However, I end up in the 1/4 part.
So, in a nutshell, what does all this raw data(or mere coincidence) tells me?
Think that I should buy lottery or 4-D with 4 and 3. (That was a joke) I can't stand this at all.
And in chinese, 4 sounds like die siah. Plus the fact that in ancient witchcraft(Please refer to Shakespere's play on Macbeth for Lit students) the number 3 is... a magically powerful (yet evil) number.
