Grr... *Snaps and barks at Authority*

People can really be quite unpredictably irrational sometimes. I mean, really irrational and then they will blame you just because you are the service provider and they are all so high and all mighty threatening to sue/fire/complain to manager just because your service not up to standard or even worse, you offend them.

I may look and sound (on the telephone) like I am a quiet girl and unintelligent one is that so why they think they can just be fierce and start scolding/threatening?

Like hell... I remember I ranted about this before like a year+ ago during my part time job. And now like same case in the office.

Like yesterday (the 16th April), I was answering a phone call and the conversation went:

Me: Hello, Damco. (I was seriously bored of this line)
Lady (女强人 type): May I speak to BB ?
Me: (After checking in BB's direction. XX talking with AA) He's busy at the moment.
Lady: Huuuuuuuuuuhhhhh.... like that ah, put me to AA.
Me: AA is also busy.
Lady: What? Then I call BB directly (ie. handphone). If he's not busy then you get it. (Hangs up)

~To be honest, I ain't too sure if she was mocking or threatening me due to anger. It could be a combination of both ba~

And of course she got through to BB (OFFICE IRONY: The person will, with impeccable timing, be free from phone lines and work) who gestured, "You ah...".

Let's get the situation right, yes, I will justify my actions just for moral education.

Firstly, as seen in the situation, was I wrong to say BB is busy?

• True, I could have given details (Do I need to give out details like 'Oh, sorry. He's chatting with other women.' Like honestly)  of what he is busy with BUT this is a company call and thus, eliminates the need for that.
• I could NOT predict who she would have wanted to find if BB was busy no? Then of all the rotten timing, she had to pick AA who was engaged in the discussion with BB.
• Basic manners- Do not interrupt a discussion unless it is LIFE THREATENING an issue. She never specified URGENT in her conversation.(And they say youths these days have no manners? Check out the adults)

Next, the most annoying part that could have been avoided.

WHY THE HELL CAN'T YOU JUST CALL BB'S HAND PHONE NUMBER IF HE'S BUSY NOW? ACTUALLY, WHY NOT JUST CALL HIS HAND PHONE NUMBER IN THE FIRST PLACE?

YOU ABUSING THE ELECTRICITY BILL OR WANT TO ENSURE OPERATORS GET JOBS?

With all the modern equipment, let me tell you something... USE THE INTERNET!~~

Why? Simple. The phone is the tool that is considered by MNC's (Multi-national companies) to be an 'additional feature'. They are all using e-mails.

Some people just 'forget' about their initial experiences after getting a higher post/promotion due to power and stress in their heads.. That's why I hate authorities. How many people can actually be like MM Lee? Loved and Feared by citizens and political rivals in his prime?

Moving past this topic, erm... it was the usual day for me, slacking and snacking in the office.

Really have the whole face written 'Sian ah'. Haha...
