EuroVision 2013 sounds nice
It's really getting colder and the nights are really longer. As of now, we are in the 'grey autumn' of the season. It keeps having showers and clouds that obscures the sunlight. Even now, the sky seems to be pressing down on me... Ugh...
It gets annoying because one keeps waking up due to some kinda phone vibration that was so loud and annoying because you know it's not you and yet, you have no clue where the source of the noise is.
Trying to study with a heavy head is never ideal. I just keep having memory lapses and seem to forget one and remember another in a short span of time. Annoying to the max.
So anyway, yesterday, on the 19th May, I did my usual household chores of laundry, vacuuming and outing for groceries.
We baked that instead. All I can say is... Whahaha. I am finally learning to make edible stuff from play dough....
The occasion was to watch the Eurovision (Something like an EU singing contest) 2013. Guess there was no surprise about the results when the favourite won. Hooray for Denmark.
I got really irritated and was literally 'on the verge of suffering' when it's Finland's turn. Her song was titled "Marry me".
I thought it made sense until she sang till the 'For you' part. I can't tell if the song was done that way on purpose or that it was just the way she pronounced it but it ended up sounding like"F**k you" every damn time.
And hoo boy. She repeated that line so many times and the lyrics were also abit adult material inclusive at one point and controversial as she kissed a girl at the end.
Now I understand why her boyfriend doesn't want to propose. Sure... get a wife who sings like she's swearing and later may end up being bisexual... lols.
I was cringing every time she sang and I voiced that she was so not worthy to represent her country. Oh wait, United Kingdom's singer, Bonnie Taylor, was, in my opinion, even better than her in a slight margin.
I liked Denmark, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Greece, Romania and Iceland. Too many favourites, I know but can't help it.

And wow. I spotted a toadstool? I can be 100% sure this is no edible mushroom. I like that it is a vivid red with the fallen leaves around it.
At night, helped Sofia with the cooking and the making of the desert. It's awesome except for a small detail. The pie was supposed to be a Key Lime Pie?

Denmark
- Her voice is really nice
- War inspired song 'Only Teardrops'... super feeling it
Ukraine
- Butterflies!!!
- She looks appealing in her performance gown.
Azerbaijan
- He's really got vocals to match with the song
- The choreographed dance with the man in a box is just... Out of this world
- Reminds me of my mirror when he sings...
Greece
- The boys are so pretty and cute
- 'Alcohol is Free'; Hey why not?
- It's just funny antics with rhythm
Romania
- Get Count Dracula
- Lose the fangs
- Get opera vocal lessons
- Perform as an opera powerhouse with a super high and medium low pitch.
- What is there not to love?
Iceland
- Thor just joined a love ballad class.
- Icelandic sounds so much like English and his voice... Ok...
So at the end of the day, that was so damn awesome. But I always feel like these shows are also politically influenced because neighbours vote for neighbours rather than on the talent of the performers lols.
But shush... Asians will never get to say that lols.
