Story of my Life
'This always seems to be do dull," mused the girl as she let out an obvious yawn as the Maritime Law lecturer goes on and on about the module. To her, it was random stuff though it meant important stuff to the others. Supporting her head with her left arm, the girl's attention was more focused on her iPad mini. She is tired, considering the ventilation back at her dorm resulted in her having another restless night.
Finally, the lessons have started. Roused from her boredom, the girl glanced up at the lesson slides and arched her eyebrows before returning to her device.Feeling bored over the technical law terms, the girl stretches her arms in front of her.
Getting overwhelmed by the lesson, she looked through her mobile phone and smiled.
Thoughtful and mundane messages again. But the girl thought otherwise.
No, the girl was glad. Loneliness and Restlessness was gripping her even though she would not admit it. She could not admit that, no, not when she always hated expressing herself. Nonetheless, the messages were always amusing and instilled a sense of connection with home.
Irritated with herself for being unable to say affectionate terms, the girl grew nonchalant, acting as thoughit mattered not. But deep down, she was just... Helpless.
It was the same with all games. She simply lacked drive and ambition to win even the simple game of monopoly. She's just way too nonchalant.
It's the same with her lessons. The girl sighed in realisation after the morning class. She would skip the lesson later in the afternoon.
She reasoned that it was time to skip since she attended all previous lessons and well, no way was she actually a good student to at all. No, she was never aiming to be good, that was just a facade as all obligations were just 'expected'.
At night, the girl reviewed her lecture notes again and memorized them. But, she soon got distracted by the raindrops splattering on her window. Amused, she clambered over to the window.
The window reflected the girl's silhouette. Roused from the revelation she prepared for bed.
Today, the girl looked up at the rainy weather and shivered in her room. She hastened to turn on the heater and got dressed after considering the weather.
She was heading to town today. The girl was irritated because the trip to town was more of a chore then fun. Nonetheless, she sat off silently.
The weather was cold, the girl placed in her hands in the jacket's pockets and strolled towards her destination while listening to songs.
Her eyes lit up when she saw Sushi. While it wasn't exactly vast in variety, the girl was glad. She loved simple food but here, Sushi, to her, was considered expensive and so, she bought that meal as a treat.
Another delight for the girl was to walk into the bookstore on a rainy day and to see all the new novels. She immediately seeks out the good books but sighs whenever she notes their price.
Why, she cursed, is it that all books are always so expensive? Her eyes dawned on all the good novels in sadness and amusement.
Upon her return, she went back to researching for her assignment and tilted her head left to see the gloomy weather... Ah, so it does rain in Autumn.
