Friendship
This is really a general (Happy? Mr Ozzy?) and sensitive issue. How did I even get started on this topic? Blame it on Liyan la.(I mean it)
It all started when she wanted to borrow a pencil. I had none to spare and asked her to borrow from her friends. She sort of shrugged and said, "They have no extra pencil."
Then I had to start the whole thing(What I say?)because the next thing I know, she asked, "How you know my friends are like that?" My reply? "I dun need to know your friends..."
Basically, this was a very debative topic. Define 'Friends' and 'What Qualities do you look out for in a friend?"
Lols. I have no answer to the first question because there is no answer. The second one is based on individuals. My answer would be- The person I can relate to with ease. It's really easier said then done here.
Then today, Kitty and I were discussing about Liyan when this pop into my mind again. OK a note to all. Usually I would not advise being friends with grouppies-a group. Simple. They are fair-weather friends and would spread nasty rumours about you. I got on their bad side(indication of several groups) and my primary school days were pretty lonely.
Well, frankly speaking, it was better in Secondary school but still, it was there and some of my closer friends had to suffer too.
I actually said this about Liyan(tell on me lols..)- She's not dumb. Nobody is. (Gives Kitty an example) Kitty added, "She just can't face reality la." "She feels she needs to belong. Desperate for friends.." I added hor. "She really so sotong." "I really don't need someone hanging around, especially if that person not close" I added after much thought.
Several factors may influence friendship. the most comon one being racist and just looking down on disabled people. I dunnoe how to put this but...Sadly, it always will happen.
In a nutshell, Just be yourself because friends will find you. If you put on a mask, friendship will never happen.
