Happy Birthday, Singapore!

Oh! So Singapore is 42 years old already. So old. Joking la. Then today, we also celebrated the founding of ASEAN. Oh my god. And I say this day should be a busy one, right? Wrong!

I found out the activity lined up for us was really boring. It's no wonder youths lose their sense of belonging and most importantly, their passion for the celebrations for a country's birthday. Take for example, the vibrant excitement and energy we see in Primary school students and Secondary school youths. Most primary students will be singing and yelling out in joy when the sing the songs. Some even waves the national flag. In Secondary school, you'll have none of that. You even have youths yawning and chatting with friends.

Firstly, I was so bored today as the activity for the upper secondary was to bring cans of food for the donation drive. So, I found myself with nothing to do. Later on, I ran into Kitty and we headed down to the parade square to see some of the games and activities by the lower Secondary Students for "The Green Carnival"

I saw how innovative some of the games were. Lols. And I saw a teacher striking a pose right out of baseball games before he threw the newspaper ball through the hole-and missed.

But overall, the mist memorable one is really the parade, especially the last song, "Absolutely Everybody" That's where it was really the best. Now I finally realised why typically, girls go for guys in uniforms. They look..err... what's that word again..Never mind. But, I am really surprised that they can shout out commands. As kitty said, "Their Oral's coming. Still don't take care of their voices..." Ehh...
