During the weekends, namely on a Saturday, I went to Vivocity to watch the movie 'Red Cliff'. I hate it only because it was part 1 only. Where's part 2? I don't blame my brother for falling asleep though. Although for the information, he was asleep throughout the movie. (the chairs were comfortable and he was tired)
Back home, I asked him about the movie and he shrugged about it. Throughout the movie, mum and I were talking about the historical characters from 'san gou yan yi'.
Actually, we went with so many people from The TFT(Team Fat Tigers-inclusive of their spouse and girlfriends) that we could fill up the seats in one whole row. Throughout the movie, I realised what Caius told me from before had a point-Why are they so stupid to charge towards an enemy despite knowing that it's a trap?
Throughout the movie, I see more bloodshed then humorous moments, well, it is a historical film. Although, a few lighthearted moments now and then were found between the conversation of Zhou Yu and Zhu Ge Liang(It's like,mincing humor between allies). I think the best part was when there were remarks on a battle formation being 'outdated' and when Zhu Ge Liang became a 'kaypoh'(in my mother's opinion) to aid a mare in a difficult labor. (Laughs)
After the movie, Auntie Ber turned to me and enquired, "Who is more Handsome? Zhou Yu or Zhu Ge Liang?" And I was like, "Wait. Did you mean the movie or from historical records?"(I am so not falling for that trick)Then, she turned away to answer her husband. What good timing. (Ok la. My type of guy must be wise, tactful and caring. Does that answer the question?)
Then, the Newpaper yesterday, on the 20th July, reported that Singapore Girls who speak Singlish are 'Hot, cute and sexy". My stand here is, "Are Singaporeans(mostly girls who read the report) supposed to speak more Singlish now just to hook up with foreigners?" Nice question huh?
And to think the government is encouraging Singaporeans to speak proper English. This is signalling to us that their efforts are really down the drain. Isn't it obvious that more women would speak more Singlish to land a man?
True, Singlish is unique and new to foreigners who describe Singaporean girls as 'pocket Venus' and can't get enough of our 'cute Singlish pitch' and 'hot and sexy Singlish usage' so I don't really blame them. Besides, they prefer our small frame.
While it is true that Singaporeans are relatively more open to many foreign culture(being multi-racial), it still remains a largely conservative society and even now, the older generation still disapproves the fact that many of us are picking up English and Singlish quicker then we can pick up our Mother Tongues and dialects.(Honestly, I haven't gotten the hang of Hokkien and Cantonese yet).
So what's new for our girls who speak 'hot, cute and sexy' Singlish? Become Ah-lians ba, since they always speak Singlish. (A joke) I'll stop here and leave this issue to debates of the country(I am not interested in this stuff)
Today, start off with another dosage of EIS. And frankly, I am bored and blur on the whole thing again. Never mind. This just means staying back to do the project with the guys again.
During QLA, it's now overlapping with ASTATS and the standard normal table. Why must it always be the subjects I appear to be the weakest in? The lessons are out to get me, I swear. And this Huay Leng, sitting on my left in this lesson is actually saying I should not blog when she is the one watching those sappy dramas.

And QLA ended 54 minutes into the lesson and we were dismissed. Ok that was unexpected.
