Retest and another make-over
Asked if I am confident to pass the retest and I would still say "No".
I dunno if I am even studying the right way or not... Because still alot of things I do wrong on the re-test sia.
Anyway, I went home after that to have extra lessons along the way on Logistics. The bus driver or Uncle, worked in the Logistics field once but got retrenched and found a job as a driver. Alot of things he mentioned, I was unable to comprehend because I am only starting out.
However, I did catch up on a few things.
The Logistics companies usually "outsource" their trucks, drivers and goods. I think from what I know is that the the three mentioned above may not be in relation to the company.
Also, usually, Logistics prefers to use the "cross-stock" method to reduce the 'cost'. "Everything is all about Company's cost" Uncle went, " DHL bought over many small Logistics companies"
In the Changi area, there was supposed to be a 'Logistics Hub'. However, due to economical crash, the investors left for China which benefits Hong Kong. That will explain why I see the Logistics companies cluster in that area...
"Why don't you find another job in other Logistics Company?" I asked curiously. Uncle said, "Very stressful one. I do this line get alot of stress. Logistics is a very stressful job. Of course I am not scaring you la." He added after my face registered, "What?"
Actually, all I know about this course is that it deals with transportation services. And another prediction from the wise sages, (Bus driver and Dad), "Logistics is an industry that has grown in the past decade and will continue to grow more in the next few years."
I think my dad meant more in the shipping industry though.. I don't really mind helping my dad though. Who asked me to study a course that has ties with my dad's work? Why, I think this is the will of Heaven then...
Ok. On another note, I went to do my hair again. That made me recall Abel's question of, "Hey, Vivian. How many times have you changed your hairstyle?" (Starts counting) I think for this year I changed it close to 2 times.
This time, I did not do perm nor reborn. Instead, yea, I got my hair trimmed way shorter,( I think the hairstylist took about 3 cm off). And now, I sport a new hairstyle and fringe.
When I saw the fringe, I went, "Wha! Look like a kid" audibly.
Ok. This time, I finally get to do a new thing- Highlight! The color I finally decided on was brownish blonde. Even the hairstylist went, "Think you will be bringing home an ABC". Hello! I just highlighted my hair so how can I look like American born Chinese? Then say my haircut was based off the "Japanese style" cut... Why are we all talking on races here?
Finally, I get to do the highlights. It does look nice though. My hair consists of 3 colours now- Black, Brown and Blonde.
