Cafe's work life
Met with the trainer who presented the whole slides as well as gifts to us answering correctly. It would appear that there are certain celebrations I would rather not be a part of- namely, Halloween. The costumes are one thing but the atmosphere is really creeping me out.
GST, ABC- Meaning, 'Greet, Smile and Thank You'. As well as 'Art, Boutique and Cafe (Pronounced as Car-fare)'.Could I get anymore then this? Oh yes it would seem.
Question: List the 4 places whereby the Boutique sells art pieces.
Answer: The Boutiques in Circular Road (Lucky Kitty), Pier Road, NAFA and Raffles X-change.
She also handed us the sticky note:

As seen from above, I will not elaborate: SH is the location I am posted to. It happens to be Samsung Hub. My initial reaction was really easy to guess- The look of shock as I had no idea where the place was located. Kitty got Circular Road meaning, she had no idea either.
The names listed below are really the people I can find. Hafeez is the head, in charge of the Boutique. Vinaya is the management staff who answered a lot of my questions on the Batista part. Aisah is the staff there also in charge of the duty rooster.
Since there were latecomers, the trainer finished the slides and wanted us to go outside for 20 minutes. Once outside, both of us were shaking our heads and praying that it was somewhere close and that's when our saviour arrived in the form of Mdm Monica.
We finally got a rough idea on the area (It was located near Raffles Place Interchange) and went back to meet up with the others whereby the HR (Human Resource) department arrived and explained to us about the wages as well as letting us try on the uniforms (I wanted XXL but XL is the smallest)
To top it all off, the HR department handed us maps. They were really prepared huh?
We set off for the MRT with another part-timer under the rain. Finally, we separated (She went to International Building at Orchard Area) and headed for Raffles whereby we spent some time on the uniform (the pins are so...) before departing.
I ended up finding the building after a while, changed and reported to duty. Vinaya, a management staff actually helped a lot by teaching me on how to wear the attire properly.
I was introduced to the area and my buddy is Zuhira. She's so funny. Her reminders really make me laugh (She keeps saying, "Don't break the glass, it costs 3 dollars) . She also keeps insisting that I need to greet loudly and I went, "But I did greet. Just not that loud."
And first day of work, way too much hands-on and initiative taking. I mean, They taught me everything not in accordance to the manual rather, on the spot itself such as cleaning up, I was to balance the tray on my palm and start to bring the empty glasses to the sink.
Plus the fact that I also served the Cappuccino to the wrong table. Not my fault- It's the head who told me to serve it to table 3 instead of 2. I got the table correct as Vinaya was seen chiding Hafeez about it.
Plus also the fact that I was supposed to observe and only refill the water, Oh no, I also got to take down customer's order despite it being more for the senior staff. I had to apologise and tell the guests to be patient with me while I took their orders down mentally(I wasn't given the order sheet)
In the end, I had to describe the green mineral bottle water (which I later learn) to Hafeez who took it and taught me that, "It's called San Pall for short," as well as another drink. I went, "2 bottles of that green glass bottles and a (something, I forgot) tea for table, " turns around and count, "19" As the order was processed, Hafeez went, "Very good."
Overall, it was fun when I knock off at 6 today. I went to find my parents at their office and went home in the car. My legs ache from too much standing but this is nothing as I always believe that I can do better tomorrow.
