How has it been?

The only highlight for this entire week is that well, the countdown to the end of attachment has begun!! We have only 5 working days left. Looking forward to 'lazing around the house' rather then having to stick to some routine and wake up to go to school or work for that matter.

So anyway, this week I was delivering documents for Aunt as per usual of a messenger pigeon, when I went to the lift lobby with 3 other worker. One of them was blasting a song. I thought the Chinese song sounded familiar.

Only in the lift do I recognize it. It was a soundtrack from the TV series 还珠格格 (Princess Pearl). Wha Lao, it reminded me of the mountains of the Yangtze river back when I was on the ferry cruising on it. Strange connection... Lols.

Another interesting fact. Hello, Marwa? Wait, what? The company posted her here until the end of the attachment. Poor girl, that is just too far already. Like I am one to say with my school being in the west side. Lols.

Hmm... Grr... the Malay food store at the Building D's canteen is really annoying the hell out of me. Why do I get the feeling they're always so stern?

Let's see, I am supposed to order food for my colleagues and me. So I queue up and placed my order, Then this Malay lady just told me in the face, "You order Nasi Brayni. Sorry ah. We cannot give it to you because it is unfair to other customers queuing up (on the other side)".

I can understand your logic but then, it's not as though I am ordering like 10 packets right? Cannot give mehx? Must be so law by law one? Really stupid.

Fine. I queue up another time. This time another Muslim lady, after serving the guy in front of me, went to replenish stock before turning to me, her face going, "What you want?"
Me: Nasi Brayani.
Lady: How many packets?
Me: 1.
Lady: Haiyo. Speak up la.
Me: (What the fuck? I not so sure about this queue and then before serving me you just do other things first and then like expect all girls to yell their orders mehx?)

Fucked up stall. Piss me off already making me queue 2 times and still like that. Malay women in their 40-50's really macham like fucked up and even racist like that (no offense and not all Malay ladies are like that la).

Then today woke up at 11 plus after a series of dreams. I used to think that we ony have 1 dream at night but well, guess that is so wrong of a theory.
Went over to Katong area for brunch and then later to the maid employment agency whereby mum was promised 5 potential maids (in case I think it was abit too abrupt, it seems that the current maid we have is giving mum and grandma good reasons to shout. I dunno if the maid is dumb or acting stupid only).

However, once we reach there, only a maid's biodata was available. Another one that was sent over was all in blur so much so that when Mr. Benny scanned it from his e-mail, it was like some pixel- maxed out thing that I was all... Hoo boy.

While we were there, this woman, in her late 30's peeped in and went, " Do you have any transfer maids that are single?" The thing was the maids there whom fitted the criteria stood up. She glanced through them and went, "Haiyo. 不可以啦。孩子们不可能喜欢他们的啦。看起来太凶了。"

Her 2 elderly companions outside went, "孩子喜欢那些脸 cute 的。" and then they went off.

In my mind, I was thinking how the hell you know what kind of 'faces' your kids like? You that understanding? I mean, some maids may look fierce but then they are also very gentle ma. You just pick your maids from their looks and not skills? Later you will surely regret it one.

You also never bring the kids here to let them see their potential nanny of course scared la. Can understand if they are babies but toddlers can come already ma. Also, define cute. Do you mean easily taken advantage of? Oh, so you wish to teach your kid to 'bully' the maid just because she looks 'cute'? Nice one.

People probably argue that cute has nothing to do with being bullied. Oh yea? Because they are 'cute' they are bullied more only. Obviously they view the maid as a 'slave' rather then 'maid'. Actually, what is the difference besides the fact that slaves can be subjected to torture and no pay and rights? Maids are in some cases, modern slaves but in my view, just another auntie and NEVER a servant.

Afterwards, went to Chinatown to locate several travel agencies for their traveling packages. So anyway, the main deal was that we scored for most of them and narrowed the choices to mainly China.

One of the tour agency (crap forgot which one) had this system like those you use in the polyclinics- the ticketing system. So anyway, we were not sure so mum queued up for tour packages to China and Europe (I wanted to go too, I am making it my honeymoon or some event that will-mark-my-life-or-something trip).

This was of no problem and so, we went over to the Europe tor package counter first because the queue number was prompted. So anyway, we were discussing with another girl when the receptionist came over and was all, "Err, I have to skip your number because (gestures to the queue) everybody's queuing up."

"Why the fuck is she in some sort of hurry to chase us like that?" I burst out irritated at her attitude and didn't care if her colleague(the girl serving us) heard me or anything (actually, I wanted her to hear it), Even mum was displeased at the attitude.

Would it kill the receptionist, a lady in her 40's, to just come over and apologize and add that she would schedule our queue number later but oh no, she had to look so 忙 (Even if she is,hello, like explain and apologize la) like that. You think I want to use your service like this?

Hmm... went quite siao with my usual antics but what the heck, no problem.

Finally, back to my bed!!
