Weddings... congrats

I woke up at 6.30 yesterday all in preparation of Uncle Jimmy and Auntie Forest's wedding day. Had dad nagging at us on being late that he himself took the longest to finish his work.

The car was Uncle Jimmy's old car!! Dad kept forgetting about the manual thing (his car is auto) and thus, caused the engine to die like twice on the road and in the parking lot all because he pressed on the gas pedal and not the clutch pedal first. Right.. (Jots down in memory just in case)

Arrived at Uncle Jimmy's house to greet his uncle and aunt as well as to wait for the groom and bride. When they arrived, we were ushered into another room to avoid clashing with the couple's supposedly good 气. Came out soon after to greet the groom, bride and their 兄弟's and 姐妹's.

Their design was ... erm... unconventional and cute. A T-shirt with the Chinese characters of 兄弟 and 姐妹 printed on the top left side of the shirt. The colour scheme was obviously blue and pink.

Anyway, the ceremony continued for the couple to pay their respects to the deceased ancestors and parents. But, on paying respects to Uncle Jimmy's mother afterward, he ended up excusing himself to go over to the sink to throw up.

Ehh? Why? Well, apparently, what he vomited reeked of apples and VINEGAR!! So the 'game of teasing' the poor groom was, as said by his fellow 兄弟, he drank abit of the mixture. After declaring it ok, he proceeded to drink the whole thing down much to their astonishment.

No Food and Vinegar just do not mix...

LOLS! The ironic casualty of marriage. The 姐妹 were also worried (they might end up killing him. LOLS) and at the same time, updating the anxious bride. I had no idea that it was possible to 'kill' the 新郎 when he endures the trial to fetch his 新娘...

Afterwards, the couple went to Budget terminal to take their photo as the weather does not permit anywhere else. Well, my family and Uncle Kenji were left to clean up the mess as we proceed back home for a few hours of rest.

I had another hour of nap (the weather was so darn good)!

And then, we had 炒米粉 by our maid before changing to go out for dinner.

We arrived there early to witness the Justice of Peace thing. I just felt really bored actually... Why can't we just get the certificate instead of going through all the promises just for a piece of paper as proof? Promises are kept 60% of the time only...

And then, a long wait until dinner. But that's ok because I am basically, moving all over the place.

Hooray!! Finally, it is over! By then, I managed to fall asleep in bed. The End.
