A somewhat fun adventure trip
Ok, I have been inactive in my posts for a while and the main reason is due to the upcoming exams, I really want to pass my weakest subject and all. Therefore, I have spent alot of time studying and slacking (I never say I was studying 100% of the time.)
Ok. I heard some rather amusing and frustrating rumour- That girls would point at my picture(Ok, I am also wondering about this part. Where and When?) and then all go, "This one has good relationships with the lecturers." (Anime sweat drop- I am so not!!) My Uncle related this to me from his class and again my mind went, "Why am I so famous when I am not even in that class and don't even know them?" (Ok. His class is 1L03 and I am 1L04 la) It's like I am destined to be recognised no matter how low profile I try to be...
Anyway, I did mention I was also rather amused, right?
So, today, went to the Adventure Camp at Bedok Reservoir with the TFT members whereby I had a good walk-in to see TP's tracks.
Ok... We were briefed and I discovered the irony of the whole thing. Firstly, we were considered children as my brother and I were under 18 (Big kids?) The irony is that the instructor had specified that the parents are in charge of the 'children' and had to look out for them. Ok. I was paired up with mum but instead, I was the one having to look out for her.
Ok. That means I have to go back next year unsupervised. I men, come on, I will be 18 in about 6 month's time.
When the instructor introduced us to the 'Harness', I said, "Lookie! We are horsies now!" to brother who just shrugged. All i remember after the trip is the shout of, "Red on!" (Basically, people have to attend this adventure trip to know that we are supposed to chain ourselves using the (I dunno how to spell that but somewhat pronounced as Carri bean) to the red wire around the trunks as a safety precaution (Like duh!)
Bro was still rather weak and seem distracted even through the practice course on land. And I said, "Aww, come on. Your CCA is BB(Boy's Brigade) lehx, you should be better then me. Your sister hor is better only in her guts de."
As usual, I was rather fast albeit slowing down when it comes to climbing the rope ladder (My arms are really weak). Ok. That's when the first siren for lightning came. Luckily, as I was already up for the rough time. However, rain meant that other members of the TFT(mostly guys), including my brother and dad, had to seek shelter while those in the course had to complete it as Auntie Forest put it, "Scared, but also must go through, if not how? Cannot U-turn *Her comments after the completion of the first course)
I was moving along at a fast pace until the spider-web net. My only problem was that I hit the net but the pulley was about to back-track and take me along with it and so, I grabbed onto the net and started to climb, straining my muscles.
Ok. The gaps in between the bridge was really wide and of course, I had to look at the steps or just fall back on the harness. And I just hummed along the way while making it look like a piece of cake, a tactic that later, mum agreed was brilliant.
Well, ladies of the TFT members demonstrated their 'graceful' landing skills on the sand pit. I was the only exception, it seems. All of them wounded up landing like or close to my mum, almost like sun-tanning face up on the beach. I was more like, a wounded bird which ended up like a guy going on his knees to propose. Ah Ber was commenting that it was the best among them.
Ok, since the rain stopped us from the trip, we were given another set of tickets to come and do this again. Score! I want to come again!!!
Anyway, some of the girls went home . We then went to Bedok's MacDonald's (My old, old house there) whereby we saw an amazing accident. A car had crashed over the road divider with it's bonnet badly damaged.
The only question is :How on earth did it land in that state? I mean, it will have to be rammed into or skid pretty hard to end up in such a wreck and yet the cars there did not register large vehicles plus, although it was raining, I don't think it's that slippery enough to skid.
Ah well, my exams up on Wednesday to Friday and on Friday 11.00 onwards, I am so ready to celebrate the freedom although, exam results may suggest otherwise... Ah well, I think, What's to be will be.
