From Zero to HERO
Replaced my 3 year plus phone on the 22th November, yesterday. It's a Touch phone, much to my amusement and horror. Initially and for obvious reasons, a Touch phone wasn't my first choice and at the end of the day, I was influenced by my parents and decided to get white instead of the KNS color (Well, in my opinion anyway)
Phone model: HTC Hero. The name's nice but well, once I get over the strange angle of the phone,it's appealing to me with the various application and it's outstanding color.
My only complaint with the phone: I can't tune in to the local radio station. Grr... But other then that, the free applications are awesome.
Also, there's been a running gag about my phone. Apparently, it has amazed even my parents who 'offered' to switch their current smart phones with mine all because, "Our phone have radio what."
Anyway, met up with Uncle Jimmy and Auntie Forest on the 21 November, then went to have dinner before heading over to Orchard's Hard Rock Cafe. Learnt that Mum had some childhood: In the festive season, foam were scattered to resemble snowflakes and kids were seen having to wash their hair. Mum turned away quickly after realising that it's foam.
Hard Rock Cafe is really, as Auntie Forrest puts it, "a rehearsal to clubbing". Right... Although I admit that I drank beer?
Then the E-learning week commences. Do you know what the E in E-learning stands for? No, not Electronic nor Excellent (Maybe to other courses it means this). But to my course, it means Exhausting and Execution week.
We have too many similar subjects crammed together plus also the fact that most of the modules have tests on the upcoming weeks so which part is really exciting? I rather go to school then have some crap online...
Met up with Meng 姐 today to discuss about the E-learning tasks. Honestly, the both of us were working on it and were rather frustrated.
Then Mel hates me- refused to let me see my score for the SMKT quizzes. Oh well, not that it really mattered to me or anything.
Then later on, went to Sim Lim Square to purchase an antivirus for baby. While doing that, also went to buy a cover casing for my phone (No scratches and it does not come with one. SO lousy ah).
The thing is we walked out after the thing is done and it is only when shopping for the antivirus that dad remembered that he hasn't paid for the screen protector yet. So, we went back just in time to bump into the store owner who had also forgotten that we hadn't paid yet.
Well, my dad's super honest one ah. Will not cheat anybody at all.
And my mum is well, being the usual,
Mum: So you guys bought the virus already?
Dad: Wait, mummy, Virus don't have to buy one.
Me: And here you say Alvin must not use shortcut on his speech...
Mum: (Laughs)
